Nothing excites me more than new cuisines. This weekend my buddy Ryan came down from LA and introduced me to an easy, delicious, and HEALTHY snack: nori chips!
Nori is the Japanese word for seaweed. Typically, the seaweed comes in thin, crispy sheets (resembling paper) and are roughly $2 at any Asian food store. There are about 10 nori sheets per package.Ryan showed me how to fold the sheets into little strips and then break them apart, making little “chips”. He laid the chips on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet, then brushed the chips with a mixture of olive oil and sriracha sauce and topped them with sea salt.
Three minutes in the oven at 350 degrees, and they were done!
We experimented all afternoon with different recipes, trying sesame oil, rock salt, “plain”… the possibilities are endless!
